Asmara, 28 May 2024 – Heads of State and Government from Kuwait, Malta, Nicaragua, Qatar, Serbia and Paraguay as well as the General Secretary of the United Nations have extended their congratulations to the people and Government of Eritrea on the occasion of the 33rd Independence Day anniversary.
Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President Myriam Spiteri Debono of Malta, President Daniel Ortega Saavedra of Nicaragua, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, President Aleksandar Vucic of the Republic of Serbia, and President Santiago Pena of the Republic of Paraguay as well as Mr. Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the UN expressed their well-wishes for good health to President Isaias Afwerki, as well as peace and prosperity for the Eritrean people.
They also conveyed their readiness to enhance strong ties and mutual cooperation with Eritrea.
Deputy Emir of Qatar Abdullah bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani also sent messages of congratulations.
