Trump, to discuss avenues for renewed engagement between the two nations. The high-level meeting, held on the margins of the 80th Session of the UN general Assembly in New York, reflects a mutual interest in exploring opportunities for partnership. Both sides emphasized the importance of constructive engagement, dialogue, and collaboration on regional stability, security, and economic development. H.E. Osman Saleh underscored Eritrea’s readiness to engage in meaningful discussions that respect national sovereignty while exploring areas of common interest, particularly in the Horn of Africa, the Nile Basin and the Red Sea.
