Participation of youth students in domestic tourism described focus of attention
Asmara, 9 April 2012 – Students who made group tour to the port city of Massawa called on concerned institutions to create conducive ground for students to get familiarized with the Nation’s resources. The students, who expressed conviction that enhancement of such activities would boost domestic tourism by and large, asserted that the prevailing harmony among the Eritrean ethnic groups is robust and deep-rooted.
Out of the students, Amanuel Abraha and Shewit Negasi, attached high regard for the climate, natural resources and historical places and artifacts they observed during the trip and asserted that Eritrea has substantial tourism potential.
Mr. Samson Tiquabo, director of St. Mary secondary school in Asmara, indicated that 135 students took part in the trip and that more similar initiatives should be taken as they are instrumental for nurturing national and cultural values in students.
Meanwhile, the students called on fellow citizens to supplement the endeavors underway to preserve the crystal-clear coastal areas of the Red Sea and its bountiful resources.
