President Isaias Afwerki returned home after three-day working visit to Ethiopia,on the invitation of Prime Minister Dr.Abiy
On the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, President Isaias Afwerki departed to Ethiopia for a three-day working visit.
President Isaias Afwerki and his delegation were accorded a warm welcome by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Foreign Minister Andargachew Gedu, and State Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Redwan Hussein, upon arrival at Jimma Abajifar Airport ,The Presidential delegation includes Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Adviser Yemane Ghebreab.
Accompanied by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, President Isaias and his delegation visited Jimma University, the Hachalu Civic Center within the compound, coffee plantations, and investments in Oromia Region as well as Gibe-III and IV hydropower plants in the Southern Region.
President Isaias Afwerki and his delegation visited the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) in the afternoon hours,13 October .Accompanied by Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia Dr. Abiy Ahmed,
President Isaias Afwerki and his delegation were briefed by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and engineers on the overall process of the construction and potential of the grand dam also visited the Koysha hydropower dam under construction on Omo River.
President Isaias and Prime Minister Abiy October 12 paid a visit to the National Park in Konta zone, Southern Region.
President Isaias and his delegation visited development sites in Addis Abeba and Bishoftu Sites visited in the morning included the recently inaugurated mountainous recreational site – Entoto Natural Park – which is 4.5km north of Addis Ababa and a flower nursery within the city. In the afternoon, President Isaias Afwerkiand his delegation visited the Ethio-Engineering Group, in Bishoftu, Oromia regional state for the assembly of commercial and military vehicles, bicycles and other machineries.
