Eritrea Institute of Technology Graduates 1207 Students
The Eritrea Institute of Technology (EIT) graduated 1,207 students with Degree and Diploma on 09 July.
The students were graduated in different fields of studies including Science, Engineering as well as Education and Information Technology in which 497 of them were graduated in diploma, 696 in degree, 4 in Masters and 10 in Masters Diploma respectively.
During the graduation ceremony, Mr. Semere Rusom, the Minister of Education, underlined that Eritrea has registered an encouraging progress in all development sectors in general and in education in particular and that it is in a promising momentum. Minister Semere also pointed out that the capacity and active contribution of the graduates of the existing colleges in the development endeavors in the country attests the overall advancement of the educational system in the country.
Professor Ghebrehiwet Medhanie, Vice President of EIT, indicated that the government has allocated huge budget to advance the educational system in the country and that new class rooms, testing rooms and central library has been established at EIT and that post graduate program has been launched in a bid to tackle shortage of teachers.
Representative of the graduates on his part expressed gratitude for the valuable educational opportunities created for them free of charge and thus reiterated readiness to live up to the nation’s expectation.
