Eritrea Covid-19 Announcement from the Ministry of Health

Thirty three patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers in the Central, Southern and Gash Barka Regions.

Out of these, twenty four patients are from Quarantine Centers in Asmara, Central Region; three from Quarantine Centers in Senafe (1), Mendefera (1) and Decamere (1) in the Southern Region; and, six are from Quarantine Centers in Gash Barka.

On the other hand, one hundred sixty one patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Central Region (108), and the Southern Region (53) have recovered fully and have been released from these facilities.

The total number of recovered patients to-date has accordingly risen to 1234 while the number of deaths stands at 6.

The total number of confirmed cases in the country to-date has increased to 1910.
